Frangipani is a deciduous shrub or small tree from famili apocynaceae , originally native to Mexico, Central America, Colombia and Venezuela. This plant then has been widely spread and cultivated in subtropical and tropical regions. Its other name is temple tree, plumeria and Cambodia tree. Frangipani is well known for its intensely unique fragrant which is produced from its flowers. It is also the national tree of Laos and Nicaragua. Plumeria rubra is a frangipani’s scientific name.

Morphology

Frangipani is a shrub or small tree which can grow up to 7- 8 m. It has a symmetrical canopy with a regular (or smooth) outline. The leaf of frangipani is simple, pinnate, green, elliptic (oval) or obovate with entire and undulate margin. The leaves arrangement is alternate and frangipani is a deciduous tree which means that its leaves will fall in a mass amount in certain periods.

Celosia Argentae Var Plumosa

Celosia argentea is commonly known as plumed cockscomb, the feathery amaranth, or Balung ayam, is a tropical herbaceous plant which is widely known because of its beautiful and unique color of flowers. Celosia argentae is from family Amaranthaceae is an annual shrub with a multi branching. The most widely planted Celosia is Celosia argentea var. plumosa and Celosia argentae var. cristata. Celosia argentae var plumosa is widely planted for landscaping purpose.

Morphology

Celosia argentae is an annually crop which can reach heights of up to 25 -100 cm. This plant has a strong tap root system with many secondary roots. Its leaves are oval or lance-shaped, strongly veined leaves 5.1-15.2 cm long with hundreds of tiny flowers packed in dense, brightly colored flowerheads which usually stand at the top of foliage. The Plumosa Group of cultivars have feathery plumelike flowerheads that look a little like tiny Christmas trees. There are 3 types of this cultivar which is large, moderately large and short or dwarf. Meanwhile, cultivars in the Cristata Group have compact rounded, crested or fan-shaped flowerheads with bizarre convoluted ridges.
